Study of relationships between ancient Chinese behavior and design

Behaviors and designs are closely related in all areas and mediums. Every design detail can serve people with a better quality of life. As a designer, I always take my personal experience as the primary source of design. Coming from China, a country with more than five thousand years of history, I took the advantage of my cultural background and made it my design inspiration.

After studying in the United States for seven years, I love my country more and know my country better than before I went abroad. Learning the design of different objects historically significantly helps me explore the behaviors people have in the past. Investigating the interaction between people and designed objects strengthened my understanding of design concepts.

The furniture and product I am currently making gave me a chance to show my understanding of the relationship between behaviors and designs by using advanced technologies. It is very novel and exciting to see traditional ancient designs being re-presented in an entirely new way by me with advanced technologies.
