- Public Abstract (ETD)
This thesis is the culmination of my work as a storyteller and artist here at the University of Iowa. I have always considered myself a visual artist. My journey as a lighting, media, and sound designer in the theatre is an expression deeply rooted in my racial background and cultural influences. I engage audiences with bold colors, a diverse range of textures, and unconventional techniques as the palette for my artistic vision and style. The goal of my work is to create an immersive experience, where light, media, and sound intertwine to craft narratives that resonate with the audience. Engaging with audiences is the reason I create art and tell stories.
