- Public Abstract (ETD)
In 2006 I created an artist book in collaboration with my dad, Esi. This book was inspired by an album of photographs from the time before he immigrated from Iran. Three years, six months and seven days after we completed the work my dad unexpectedly passed away. This book has been the impetus for this body of work. In 2019 I began to revive the images and writing in the artist book as an attempt to bring my children closer to my dad for the first time. This became a way to collaborate between generations and experience making work alongside my children, and experience I am grateful I had with my dad.
