Abstract
Upon SARS-CoV-2 infection, infected cells undergo necroptosis, whereas delayed apoptosis and pyroptosis occur in uninfected, bystander cells, thus providing a plausible explanation for the extensive injury among myriad uninfected cells.Upon SARS-CoV-2 infection, infected cells undergo necroptosis, whereas delayed apoptosis and pyroptosis occur in uninfected, bystander cells, thus providing a plausible explanation for the extensive injury among myriad uninfected cells.
