Abstract
The trilobite Goodsiraspis packardi n.gen., n.sp. occurs in rocks belonging to the lower member of the Silurian (Ludlow; Ludfordian) Barlow Inlet Formation at Goodsir Creek, eastern Cornwallis Island, central Canadian Arctic. Although the species resembles members of the Aulacopleuridae, it is considered to be a Silurian representative of the predominantly Ordovician family Rorringtoniidae. Its implications for rorringtoniid classification are discussed, and the classification of aulacopleuroidean trilobites is briefly reviewed.
