Abstract

The polarity-sensitive fluorescence of pyrene was used to investigate the complex-induced hydrophobic aggregation of poly(methacrylic acid-g ethylene glycol) in aqueous solutions, Under acidic conditions, the excitation or emission peak intensity ratio as a function of concentration of solubilized pyrene was used to estimate the critical aggregate concentration.
