Abstract
Contemporary infection prevention practices for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections were surveyed across 12 mostly academic medical center burn units using the SHEA Research Network. There was variability in surveillance and decolonization practices, with 58% reporting active MRSA surveillance. More evidence-based data for burn MRSA infection prevention practices are needed.
