Abstract

We present a variable dimension homotopy algorithm for computing an equilibrium for a model of interregional trade in a single commodity. The variable dimension feature of the algorithm is based on the underlying market structure. Computational results indicate that the algorithm performs most of its work in lower dimensions and can solve large problems efficiently. © 1984.
