Accumulation model of shear fatigue deformation for asphalt mixture with changing temperature

Abstract
Shear fatigue deformation of asphalt mixture with changing temperature was studied. The result shows that shear fatigue deformation increase of asphalt mixture forms not only with temperature rise, but also with temperature decrease. Shear fatigue deformation of asphalt mixture exhibits leaping increase with changing temperature, which is similar to the real situation in site. By comparing typical temperature deformation accumulation models, and on the basis of time hardening superposition approach, a new superposition model of shear fatigue deformation of asphalt mixture with changing temperature is proposed. Because this new model takes nonlinearity of fatigue deformation curve and sequence of temperature into account, it can perfectly simulate shear fatigue deformation of asphalt mixture with changing temperature.
