Abstract
The diagnosis and treatment of abdominal actinomycosis is difficult. We report a case of chronic diverticulitis of the sigmoid colon with stricture formation and obstruction, which was complicated by intramural actinomycosis. We suggest that diverticular strictures and actinomycosis may coexist more often than the literature suggests.
