Abstract

The author reflects on the problems of singing teachers in their assessment of the value of voice science. He discusses the impact of new scientific discoveries in voice pedagogy on the methods of instructions of voice teachers. He believes that new insights on voice science create uncertainty and insecurity to singing teachers which forces them to return to their old teaching methods
