Ant-repellent terpenoids from Melampodium divaricatum

Abstract
The leaves of Melampodium divaricatum have been systematically fractionated by following biological activity in an assay which measures repellency to the leafcutter ant Atta cephalotes (Formicidae, Attini). Several terpenoids have been isolated which show significant ant-repellency.
