The authors made a clinical and radiographic evaluation of 65 class II restorations with composite resins, in 34 patients with average age of 34,11 years. The items color, surface texture, fracture, marginal infiltration, marginal adaptation, marginal discoloration, proximal contact, periodontal health, loss of anatomic form, secondary caries and indication were evaluated. With the used methodology, the authors could observe that 93,85% of the restorations did not present secondary caries, 84,62% did not have fracture, 32,31% were incorrectly indicated to the case, 32,31% presented loss of anatomic form in the occlusal surface and 29,23% were with unacceptable color.
