Abstract
The axillary region is an important area to thoroughly examine for breast diseases. Metastatic lymphadenopathy in patients with known breast cancer is the most frequently pursued problem. As a result, other structures and disease entities in the axilla tend to be ignored or misinterpreted as lymphadenopathy. Imaging methods used for evaluation of the axillary area include mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. After completing this activity, radiologists should be able to evaluate and differentiate various axillary lesions, including lymphadenopathy.
