BREAKING THE AXIAL U(1) DOES NOT ENHANCE SECOND CLASS DECAYS

Abstract
We consider the description of the a0 meson within a linear sigma model involving different types of explicit breaking of the axial U(1). Those new terms do not enhance [Formula: see text] confirming the point of view that the decay mode [Formula: see text] is negligible in the standard model. We also discuss the spectrum of the theory.
