Abstract
The intravesical instillation of live bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) for bladder cancer therapy is one of the most successful examples of immunotherapy today. Despite its intrinsic toxicities, live BCG holds even greater promise as methods are developed to manipulate both its immunotherapeutic and biologic properties genetically.
