Abstract

For two spectral systems σ1 and σ2 on a Banach space ℒ, the associated Browder spectral system is σb;1, 2:= σ1⋃′σ2. We prove that σb;1, 2 possesses the projection and spectral mapping properties whenever σ1 and σ2 do (and satisfy a few additional mild assumptions). We also calculate σb;1, 2 for tensor products. The results extend several previous works on Browder spectra.
