Abstract

Background: Ventricular arrhythmia (VA) spectrum ranges from Premature Ventricular contraction (PVC) to Ventricular tachycardia or Ventricular Fibrillation. Depending on etiology and underlying heart disease this may prove to be a life threatening arrhythmia or may have a benign course. Though AAD or ICD is effective, ablation therapy may be adjunctive in certain cases eg VT associated with ischemic heart disease or potentially curative in idiopathic VTs in structurally normal heart. Understanding the mechanism of VT is essential in planning and wisely selecting ablation strategy.
