Victorian poetry, Vol.33(1), pp.53-73

Abstract
Although Scottish working-class women poets from the Victorian era are often ignored, they are important because they serve as expressions of working-class observations, exemplars of a working woman aesthetic and testimonials to the thousands of undiscovered verse of working-class women's poetry. A wide variety of working women poets in Scotland is discussed.
