Abstract
•Sterile osteomyelitis may be accompanied by psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease and inflammatory arthritis.•CNO is a complex disorder with genetic, epigenetic and environmental components.•Dysregulated IL-1β signaling is present in syndromic forms of CNO.•Treatment is with anti-inflammatory agents or a bisphosphonate but best treatment(s) remains to be defined.
