Abstract
Leakage is used in adaptive signal processing to avoid parameter drift caused by noise in under excited systems. Its introduction however, precludes exact convergence of the parameter estimates to their desired values even under ideal situations. This paper examines the dependence of these resultant parameter offsets on certain design variables. Two algorithms, namely leaky sign-sign and leaky LMS are considered and compared
