Abstract
In many practical control systems, a satisfactory controller can be designed by feeding back only the observable, or measurable, state variables without employing either an observer or a delayed feedback scheme. Most of these designs arc accomplished by classical compensation methods. In this paper, a state-space approach is presented for designing an observable slate feedback controller. It is based on minimizing a quadratic cost function with respect to the feedback parameters.
