Abstract
[...]we believe that student voices are typically not loud enough in teachers' considerations of texts. [...]in countering the fairy tale canon's narratives of gender, Peggy Rice (2000) shared feminist fairy tales with sixth-grade students, leading some-particularly females-to adopt critical stances on gender representations.
