Abstract
The crystal and molecular structure of Rebek's imide 1 is reported. Crystal data for 1: triclinic, space group

H...O and two O
$$ - -$$
H...O hydrogen bonds involving amide...carboxylic acid interactions. The dimer organizes in the solid state to form 1D ribbons.
