Abstract

Brockmeier recounts his wrestling experience. By the ordinary logic of sports he simply doesn't matter. The trouble is that wrestling takes more than cunning. It takes leverage, muscle, and he's nothing but scrawn, so skinny he could lay his forearm on a table and roll a marble down the tendons. He decides to treat the match like a joke. He would rather have won, he can't deny it, but losing and losing badly brings with it a perverse feeling of accomplishment.
