Abstract
Abstract The authors report two cases of large intracerebral hematomas complicating venticuloperitoneal shunting for normal pressure hydrocephalus. This potentially devastating consequence of shunting is rarely reported. In each case, an abnormal course of the ventricular catheter was evident on postoperative skull films.
