Abstract

In summary, we compared monophasic and biphasic transvenous DFT in 19 patients and observed a 27% reduction of DFT with the biphasic waveform despite optimizing monophasic shock polarity. Biphasic shocks should continue to be the preferred waveform for transvenous defibrillation.
