Abstract
Bell Mobility, a division of Bell Canada, has utilized various features of Alcatel's payment solution to support Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) and consolidate rating functions. Alcatel's payment solution enables Bell Mobility to offer pre-paid customers the higher profit services that are already available to post-paid users. Alcatel's flexible rating capabilities could be used to allow for the re-use of the content distribution systems and event-driven applications for MVNOs. Bell Mobility is expected to gain from these capabilities in attracting best MVNO partners and increase its share of the Canadian wireless market.
