Abstract
The UCAR Unidata Program Center provides software and services to qualified educational and scientific research institutions for the acquisition and use of atmospheric and related geophysical data. Over the years, these tools have enhanced the education and training of literally tens of thousands of students at participating universities. Here, Kruger et al emphasizes on Unidata's role in not only providing data, but also providing a robust set of data services and tools, including means for data exploration, software components, and technology.
