FATORES ASSOCIADOS Á ETIOLOGIA DE BRUXISMO EM CRIANÇAS: REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA / FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH BRUXISM ETILOGY IN CHILDREN: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract
Introduction: Bruxism is constituted by an involuntary movement of grinding/tightening teeth, in which it is a common disorder among children, and the psychological profile is a great responsible for the habit. The etiology of bruxism is multifactorial including physiopathic and psychological factors that can precipitate the bruxism. Objectives: conduct a recent systematic review on the factors associated with the etiology of bruxism in children. Methods: Articles were searched in databases PubMed and Scielo with the keywords "Bruxism","Children","Etiology", Association". The selected articles were evaluated by title and abstract, and exclusion criteria were review articles and articles that had factors associated with the etiology of bruxism in adolecents. The selected articles were read the complete texts and divided according to the observed results. Results: Seven articles were selected, published between 2010 and 2019. Most articles have shown that there is a correlation of the associated factors regarding oral habits, stressful events, respiratory disorders, sleep disorders, among others,in relation to the etiology of bruxism in children. Conclusion: Based on the review, it can be concluded that a high occurrence of bruxism was found and important aspects were associated withthis disorders, factors that justify the development of speech-language pathology actions and require behavior observational with children, families and institutions.
RESUMO Introdução: O bruxismo é constituído por um movimento involuntário de ranger/aperto de dentes, no qual é um transtorno comum entre as crianças, e o perfil psicológico é um grande responsável pelo hábito. A etiologia do bruxismo é multifatorial, incluindo fatores físicos e psicológicos que podem precipitar o bruxismo. Objetivos: Realizar uma revisão sistemática recente sobre os fatores associados à etiologia do bruxismo em crianças Métodos: Artigos foram pesquisados em bancos de dados PubMed e Scielo com as palavras-chave "Bruxismo","Crianças", "Etiologia", Associação". Os artigos selecionados foram avaliados por título e resumo, e os critérios de exclusão foram artigos de revisão e artigos que apresentaram fatores associados à etiologia do bruxismo em adolecents. Os artigos selecionados foram lidos os textos completos e divididos de acordo com os resultados observados. Resultados: Foram selecionados sete artigos, publicados entre 2010 e 2019. A maioria dos artigos tem demonstrado que há correlação dos fatores associados aos hábitos orais, eventos estressantes, distúrbios respiratórios, distúrbios do sono, entre outros, em relação à etiologia do bruxismo em crianças. Conclusão: Com base na revisão, pode-se concluir que foi encontrada uma alta ocorrência de bruxismo e aspectos importantes associados a esses transtornos, fatores que justificam o desenvolvimento de ações de patologia fala-linguagem e requerem comportamento observacional com crianças, famílias e instituições.
