Abstract
This paper examines the differences between fair housing law and practice in the US and the UK. Both nations have faced issues associated with the rapid growth of minority populations in urban centers and challenges associated with discrimination in housing. The paper finds that the US could learn from the UK experience with 'indirect discrimination' and the UK could learn from the US experience with testing for housing discrimination.
