Abstract
Edited transcript of a roundtable conversation held at the 2023 Sojourner Truth Festival of the Arts in Chicago reflecting on the festival's inaugural 1976 event and amplifying the film curation and programming work of practitioners in Black feminist film and media. Participants: filmmaker, visual artist, programmer, and writer Ina Archer; programmer, educator, and filmmaker Cheryl Chisholm; filmmaker and film programmer Monica Freeman; writer, activist, producer, and public broadcasting executive Jennifer Lawson; filmmaker, installation artist, curator, media activist, and educator O.Funmilayo Makarah; and filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter Yvonne Welbon.
