Abstract
We have performed a statistical analysis of a sample of 408 MHz variable sources with low-frequency VLBI data. The purpose of the investigation is a test of the refractive interstellar scintillation theory and the determination of parameters of the interstellar medium. We found evidence of a galactic modulation of variability events with time-scale of the order of less than one year. © 1990 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
