Abstract
The development of left atrial thrombus as a result of cardiopulmonary bypass cannulation of the left atrium is rare. We report a case of the development of a left atrial thrombus that formed after bypass cannulation of the left atrial appendage for the treatment of a traumatic aortic transection.
