Abstract
The use of light-emitting diodes as dynamic pressure transducers is described. An equation describing the pressure dependence of the forward bias of the light-emitting diodes is derived. The determination of the pressure coefficients of the diodes with a hydrodynamic shock tube is also described. Experimental results for 12 light-emitting diodes are given.
