Abstract

Linear uniform codes are linear codes with minimum distance equal to average distance, and hence are optimum from minimum-distance point of view. A unified approach to block and convolutional codes is taken, leading to a simpler encoder for convolutional uniform codes. © 1969, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
