Abstract
The article discusses a strategy for helping children to identify the role energy plays in a variety of phenomena. Topics discussed include studying energy in compliance to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), helping students to understand energy as a Crosscutting Concept of the NGSS, and analysis of changes in the various indicators for energy. It mentions that the main objective of the energy instruction in elementary grades is to provide information on energy flow and conversion.
