Abstract
• Labeled microspheres have been used recently to measure cerebral blood flow in experimental animals. The technique allows repeated measurements of regional, as well as total, blood flow to the brain. The microsphere technique has been used to study physiological regulation of cerebral blood flow, and can be used to examine regional cerebral blood flow in experimental models of disease states.
