Abstract
Significant amounts of microRNAs (miRs) are detected in exosomes, but their function during fetal development is poorly understood. In this issue of Developmental Cell, Hayashi et al. (2017) show that exosomal miRs secreted by mesenchymal cells can regulate epithelial KIT
progenitor cell expansion during murine salivary gland organogenesis.
