Abstract
The scope and features of microelectronics technology that rely on the integration of heterogeneous components are presented. The integration is aided by simple technique based on soft adhesion to an elastomeric stamp for transfering microscopic objects to a wide range of surfaces. Polymethylsiloxane (PDMS), which is a rubber, helps to rapidly transfer large number of objects from one surface to another. PDMS is very useful as it is soft and blendable so that it easily comes into intimate contact with a flat surface, but upon release reverts back to original shape.
