Motivating community health improvement: Leading practices you can use

Abstract
While some healthcare executives have questioned whether it is even possible to achieve community health goals and financial objectives at the same time, a study being conducted by the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Hospital Association reveals that it certainly is. The study demonstrates that both sets of objectives can be achieved by linking CEO, board and organizational performance evaluations to community health goals. Perhaps the best way to incorporate community health goals into your organization's systems and processes is to include them in your vision and mission. Other leading practices to incorporate community health goals are discussed
