Abstract

This article describes some of the difficulties encountered by patients with scoliosis, low back pain, and cerebral palsy in terms of sexual expression. Discussion focuses on the areas of pain, deformity, and loss of motion, and includes case histories as well as recommendations for ways in which health professionals can help patients with these musculo-skeletal disorders deal more successfully with their impairments in promoting a personally satisfying level of sexual functioning.
