Abstract
A kinetic model has been used to estimate the rate constant for the reaction of superoxide (O2/OOH) with the superoxide spin adduct of 5.5-dimethylpyrroline-N-oxide. DMPO/OOH. This rate constant is estimated to be 4.9 (± 2.2) × 106 M−1 s−1, pH 7.4 and 25°C.
