Abstract

An optimization strategy lie proposed for the development of tissue-based membrane electrodes where variables which affect substrate diffusion and biocatalytic activity are considered, The optimization strategy Is Illustrated through the development of a rabbit liver based membrane electrode for guanine with high selectivity and other desirable operating characteristics.
