Perfection, happiness, and duties to self
American philosophical quarterly (Oxford), Vol.33(3), pp.263-276
07/01/1996
Abstract
Jeske defends the claim that one has duties to promote his or her own happiness and the perfection of others, but no duties to promote the happiness of (most) others. This is in essence a reversal of Kantian moral theory.
