Plasma data acquisition with a Macintosh

Abstract
This note demonstrates that with relatively inexpensive external hardware, the Macintosh series of computers with their closed architecture (Mac Plus and Mac SE) can be used in the laboratory for data acquisition and data interpretation. The measurement and interpretation of data acquired from a Langmuir probe inserted in a plasma are described.
