Abstract
Using data generated from a sample survey of the Florida population, this study shows that social class has a mixed impact on growth management support. While general political attitudes also do not influence growth management support, individuals that favor environmental protection, oppose government assistance for the poor, and express concern about the migration of Cubans and Haitians to Florida are more likely to support growth controls. Community context variables such as population size and growth do not have a significant impact on growth management support.
