Abstract
The purpose of this article is to provide WOC nurses who would like to undertake qualitative research with some guidance in the description of qualitative data analysis for use in a research grant proposal. A previous article in this series described strategies for data management and coding. These strategies were deliberately separated from the description of data analysis. Although data management, coding, and analysis are related activities, and data analysis occurs whenever the investigator engages with the data, coding itself does not accomplish the analysis.
