Abstract
Rabbit muscle acetone powder is examined as a suitable biocatalytic layer for adenosine 5'monophos-phate (AMP) biosensors. This acetone powder biosensor is shown to possess excellent steady-state and dynamic response characteristics with effective usable lifetime and selectivity. Finally, the proposed biosensor is shown to compare favorably with other AMP biosensors with the principle advantage of being readily available at reasonable cost.
