Abstract

Pituitary adenomas are usually very responsive to surgical therapy. When they persist or recur after surgery, a variety of radiation therapy alternatives have proven effective. This article reviews the role of conventional radiotherapy, radiosurgery, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy in the management of this disease.
